BOOK PRESENTATION Talking can be the best medicine, especially when your spirit is bruised. But often when children are being bullied, they become quiet and sullen. It is common for them to believe it is their fault. They are embarrassed and ashamed. Why would they want to share their shame with anyone. So, alone, children will internalize it and bear the burden on their innocent shoulders. These little ones believe what they are told. Their unsophisticated and young minds can completely embrace the message the bully is giving them. Remember, I have talked about what happens at many of my book signings? Older women and men have come up to me and confided that when they were very little they were bullied. I can see they are remembering it like it was just yesterday.
